SAAS

If you’re leaving school to study at college, university or a private provider you may be eligible for Higher Education funding through SAAS.

You need to apply for each year of your further or higher education studies. Applications are now live for anyone studying an HNC/HND or University degree starting August or September 2022.

SAAS are running online workshops throughout April and May and we would encourage you to sign up to one of them if you are leaving school to study at college (HNC or HND) or university from August. If you are applying to college to study at NC level you do not need to apply through SAAS as the college will help you with your funding.

If you are studying in Scotland, your course fees are paid for by the Scottish Government. If you are studying in England you will be eligible for a loan to cover your course fees. Course fees are not dependent on household income. You need to apply through SAAS in both situations.

In addition, you may be eligible for a bursary or loan to help with your living costs.
